The PM1802 is the first in the world personal radiation
detector-identifier with 2 independent gamma and neutron
channels. The PM1802 is designed for detection and identification
of radioactive and nuclear materials including the weapons
ones. Being equipped with two separate scintillation
detectors based on CsI(Tl) and LiI(Eu) the PM1802 is
capable to operate as two-channel alarming ratemeter,
ensure fast locating and measurement of gamma and neutron
radiation sources and to perform fast identification
of the gamma and neutron sources on their gamma spectra
in the field conditions.
The PM1802 can be used both as independent radiation
control instrument and along with the fixed-installed
radiation monitors to accomplish the tasks on locating
and identification of the source which caused the alarm
of the stationary system.
The PM1802 is the smallest personal gamma-neutron radiation
detector in the world which is capable to identify the
radioactive sources. According to the up-to-date requirements
the instrument is capable to perform all radiation control
procedures independently and when it is complicated
to make an appropriate decision based on its readings
the instrument can be used for accessing the DSS and
for providing expert assistance.
The up-to-the minute technologies made it possible
to create the instruments with the unique combination
of specifications which meets meet the requirements
of IAEA, Russian standard GOST R 51635-2000 as well
as American Standards ANSI N42.32-2003 for PRD, and
ANSI N42.34-2003 for RIID.
