The ÐÌ1401Ê instrument incorporated in the POLISMART™ system ensures performing all procedures of radiation
control process with transmission of the results of
measurement to Pocket PC with GPRS through IR or « Bluetooth
» channels for processing, analysis and forming the
appropriate decisions.
Identification is one of the most important stages
of radiation control process. The PM1401K is capable
to measure scintillation gamma spectra, save up to 100
of these spectra in its memory and transmit them to
a PC through IR or radio communication channel. When
using the “Bluetooth” radio channel the iPAQ Pocket
PC can be used. If the PM1401K operates in the field
conditions and it is equipped with a computer of this
type it is capable to identify the detected source automatically
on a safe distance from a source and the spectra and
identification results are displayed in the PC screen.
Depending on the user’s requirements identification
can be run in automatic or expert mode. In automatic
mode the PM1401K is capable to complete fast identification
with the identification results displayed in the monitor
of the PC. Being in the expert mode the PM1401K enables
the specialists and the trained users to change the
settings of the identification program, consider the
parameters of the source and its shield, run detailed
identification using the recommendations given by the
program.
The PM1401KE Identifier is a detector unit integrated with a processing unit-neutron moderator designed for hand-held applications. The processing unit is physically and electrically interconnected with the detector unit. The instrument features a shockproof and waterproof design for the use under harsh environments at a temperature range of -30 °C up to +50 °C. Such design is intended for corporate customers when there are no special requirements to the size and weight of the identifier and the application requires a monoblock identifier. In this case there is no need to transfer data to PC or Laptop for identification.
