POLISMART™ - the idea of the project is in combining the functions of the multipurpose hand-held instrument which is having the capabilities of gamma-neutron personal radiation detectors (PRD), identifiers of nuclear and radioactive materials (RIID) and the smart phone into one network instrument which is constantly connected to the departmental or public network providing communications with the organizations of experts or the automatic Decision Support System (DSS). The current technology has made it possible to create instruments which meet the unique combination of requirements of the American National Standards ANSI N42.32-2003 for PRD, and ANSI N42.34-2003 for RIID, the European requirements of IAEA, WTO, Interpol, as listed in the final report of the ITRAP Program and the technical requirements of the Russian Standard GOST R 51635-2000.

The main peculiarity and advantage of the system is the unlimited number of users of the instruments that are enabled to complete all standard procedures of radiation control and at the same time to get the expert support on-line when making decisions in complicated situations.
At the same time the accuracy and completeness of performing radiation control procedures are controlled and all actions of the user of the instrument are automatically filed.

The centralized analysis of statistics of the accidents and events is the source of information for improving the efficiency of system operation by permanent correction of the actual regulations and instructions for a user and entering the new data to DSS. More Info

In fact, the POLISMART™ is Integrated Radiation Control System ( IRCS ), consisting of personal radiation detectors with functions of the identifier of nuclear and radioactive materials (PRD&RIID) and being capable to operate in wireless communication with expert Decision Support System (DSS) in real time.

The POLISMART™ IRCS is a structure consisting of following:
1. Portable pocketsize multifunctional device designed for measuring all types of radiation and performing all procedures of radiation control. This instrument may include various detectors for detection, locating and measuring the radiation. More Info

• Gamma PRD&RIID PM1801 with high gamma sensitivity
• Gamma-neutron PRD&RIID PM1802
• The alpha-beta-gamma-neutron RIID PM1401K

2. The Decision Support Systems (DSS) is located on the specific server in corporate network or in the common network and it is operating as a permanent updated and amended list of the specific data and knowledge bases as well as various information which is requested by a user of the instrument in case it is impossible to make a proper decision based only on the readings of the instrument. Within the scope of the POLISMART™ the demo-version of DSS (Free Polismart.Net Service) is available in the Internet. It is available through GPRS for users of the POLISMART™ instruments free of charge. The demo-version is located in polismart.net and it gives the minimum number of servers to ensure main functions of DSS.

Corporate customers of the POLISMART™ system may place the orders for the following options of the DSS system:

• The DSS system, available in the open Internet through the GPRS/VPN channels. The number of services of the DSS system can be adjusted for the specific user.
• The DSS system available in the corporate network through the WiFi/IEEE 802.11/WLAN protocols. In this case the DSS system may also be provided with the number of services adjusted for each specific user. Additionally to the basic versions of the DSS systems the specialized software packages can be provided: the improved identification programs, gamma spectra library, updated for various application programs, the saving programs, the programs for statistics processing, data analysis, creation of the event reports, GPS attachments etc.
